hey guys ...i am thinking on experimenting something..its all about not spending a penny for just a week...if i can do it..not even on food, gasoline or whatever..but of course i see to it that i have food in the fridge for that duration...what i mean in this is those little things that are not really needed at home or whatever...of course i will tell you how it goes and if its successful or not...have you ever tried this?

I'm a big spender when it comes to household needs. Most of my budget goes on food. I hope you're experiment will be successful. Can't wait to hear how it goes. So I will have an idea to do it for I'm on a tight budget right now. Good luck!!! HUGZ always my friend. Miss you!!

I have been successful in no spending any $ for three weeks. I pay the bills of course, but I just haven't been out to a store in that long. If I get to a store, I for sure end up spending too much and often times leave without the item(s) I came for.

hello vanities well wouldn't that be nice if we could go a week like that in not spending any money at all. but like you said thou, we would have to make sure that we had food, and things like that around the house and everything that is needed laundry wise and also things that are needed in the bathroom. and i would have to make sure that i had a full tank of gas in my vehicle at the start of the week so that i could get back and forth to work every day of the week except for the weekends. but it seems like i am always buying gum or something to drink through the week, plus anything that my two sons might need as well for something for school. so there is hardly ever a week that goes by around here at my house, that i do not have to spend any money at all on something. good luck to you in trying to do so. take care, have a beautiful evening and Happy Valentine's Day.

Try it. There are times I have had to do that without choice because I didn't have any money! There is so much we all waste our money on! It justs so tiring to have to constantly be watching what we can and can't buy.

Well quite frankly I dont buy anything that I dont need. Needless to say I save a lot of money and am in the best financial shape compared to my friends. They just spend money like its water. Well not so much anymore cause of the economy but they used to. Hopefully now they will get smart. Well the only thing I can say to you is that dont hold back on your health. Try the experiment but stop when you know its hurting you. Good Luck on you experiment.

hi there, i tried to be thrifty this time as the economy getting bad, i spend on very important things only for now, as i dont know how bad it can get regarding the economic crises. so i think spending wisely is very clever to do now a days.

I've gotten pretty good at watching my spending. I really didn't spend any money this past week. I avoided going out shopping. I spent a lot of time in which means I wasn't tempted to spend money, nor did I do a lot of driving so I wasn't needing to buy gas or anything. I think I've done pretty good with spending sometimes. However, I do lose sight of what I had planned and spend more than I had intended. Finding a balance between spending and not spending is hard but it's definitely needed especially now. The first time you go a week without spending on anything you really don't need, it gets easier when you do it again the next week.

Hey vanities! Yes I have tried it! And the only way that I can sort of come close to doing it is to stay in the house and not move out of the door! If I dare go out anywhere for a minute I will spend money of some sort! I have stayed inside (with the bad weather and being sick) for a week and as soon as I went out so did the money! Good luck!

Yes, I have. As a matter of fact, unless it has to be bought, we generally do not spend money very often. We a;lways make sure that the bills are paid first, then we get things such as gas and groceries, then the lesser needs. I rarely spend extra money, but my husband tends to. He is trying really hard to curb his own spending right now, and I am trying to do things to save money when I go grovery shopping.
