If you had a million dollars, would you save it or spend it?

I figure out my cost of living until about retirement age, and then Save that much, and then I would save some to spend, and then donate the rest to people who really need it, and I know who would use it for a good use.

Saving for retirement is a good idea.

I would probaly spent most of it but I would save a couple hundred grand for emergencies. I don't know what I would do with it all though. I know I would buy a house, and a car, but thats not close to a million dollars. I would try not to blow it on things I didn't need though.

Then give plenty to charity..and save and invest the rests.. thats alot of money you can do alot with it..

A million is a lot of money. You could do quite a bit with it.

Both, I'd spend some of it on creature comforts, then i would invest the rest in attempt to double it, and spend some more :)

First I would buy a house and go on vacation and probably spend a whole lot of it!

A vacation sounds like a great way to spend some money. Some hotels have suites that are very pricey.

I would invest the money, live off of the interest, and make a yearly donation to a different charity.

If I had a million dollars I would have to pay all my bill first and then I would like to travel and live a comfortable life.

I would spend some. Pay off some bills, buy a couple of toys(4-wheelers, truck for my husband). I would save some also, for later.

Spend it. I'm a horribly compulsive spender.

Getting out of debt is a good idea. The interest on school loans is outrageous.

i would go and start a helicoptor tour angency in kauai and fly helicopters all over the island all day and enjoy living in paradise. i would also grow my hair out long and wear flip flops shorts and an unbutton'd t-shirt the rest of my life. and i would by a little shack by the beach that wouldnt cost alot of money but i would put up a hammock and fall asleep to the sound of the ocean every night.

How about both? Save about halfish and spend about halfish on investments and stuff for my family.

If you save 1/2 and invest that you would have an income off that investment besides the money you've set aside to spend.

If I had a million dollars, I would save the bigger part and invest it buying hotels, houses, palaces, theaters and so on,and I would spend the other part to live better and enjoy vacations

That's a great idea. Real estate is usually a pretty good investment
