hello everybody at Mylot. my ten year old son made and colored me the prettiest Valentine's Day card that i have ever seen before. as soon as he woke up this morning, he immediately said Happy Valentine's Day Mom, and he said i will be right back, i made you something yesterday at school. so back into the dining room he came with a hand made Valentine's Day card for me. wasn't that sweet of him? i will put that card away and keep it put up, and when my ten year old son gets older, i can dig them all out and show all of them to him. so tell me, did your children make you anything for Valentine's Day today? take care, have a beautiful day today and Happy Valentine's Day!

This is so cute. I wonder if my children will also do that to me. When I was a still a little girl, I used to make a card for my dad (for valentine, birthday, christmas or for any occasion, and even those regular days when there is no occasion at all).

Oh, what a sweet boy:) In fact the Valentine's Day is not only for the lovers, but the people who you love. You have a very good son and you shall be proud of him:) My son even doesn't know what it is:) In the kindergarten open day, my son was drawing a card there. It's hard to believe that he draw a fan which it's the object that he likes. I think this is a very special picture:) I love China

Yeah, my sons class had their Valentines party yesterday and made all sorts of things as part of their activities. He made a nice mouse valentine card that opens up into a heart for his Dad. His Dad is currently away overseas and he misses him very much.

Hi Tnwoman! Oh that is very sweet! I don't have children of my own so i can't share any story about this kind of sweetness children do for their beloved parents. But I do remember making Valentine cards for my parents and grandparents when I was young. I have seen them kept by my mother and father. I know that it made them feel loved and special. It was really nice and I feel so happy that my father still have them. Take care and have a great day! lovelots..faith

I don't have kids, but I always get my Mum a card! I love her so much and think that Valentine's Day should be able spending time with the people you love whether that's a partner or just family and friends. They're just as important after all! I hope that when I have children they will think about it in the same way that I do.

How sweet is that? What a nice boy to think of his mom on Valentine's Day. Our kids use to make me cards but they are grown now and have husband's. Our little grandkids are too little to write. One is old enough to color but I would have been shocked if he sent a card. He just turned 4. Enjoy the rest of the evening.

Hey Tn, Thats so sweet and he deserves atleast 10 kisses. I wasn't that sweet at that age .. i was so naughty and was never interested in making cards or something like that. U have wonderful kids it seems. Well a lot of people thinks that valentine day is all about couples and all that but its a wonderful example of that its a day to show affection to whomsever u love irrespective of your relation to the person. Iam lucky enough that i spend some time with my family today. U know when u show him all those cards when he grows up he will cherish it all his life. They are simply priceless! Cheers, Tutul

Hi TnWoman, I won a home made Valetine card for the best verse in and from one of my other sites that I go to and it arrived yesterday and I give it to my hubby and choclate arrived today as well, it was a prize, so my hubby got a treat, but all he did was got me a take-food for me and I never got a card, I haven't any children so my day was a bit dull, I think it was so sweet of your son to give you a handmade card, yes its is something to treasure it. Love and hugs. Tamara xxxx

what I did was put them in a frame and hang them up on the wall for them to see always..everything they made me went up on a frame and that helped their self esteem alot because I was proud to put it up on the wall..u can't imagine how many walls got filled up..

How sweet. I remember those days when the kids would make things for special occassions. Those are the best gifts ever and for sure keepsakes. I have so many things put away that my kids made. My daughter also has a big container of things under her bed from her son. Happy Valentine's Day to you and yours.

My sons made some wonderful cards for me when they were in school and I keep and treasure them all! I love to take them out sometimes and look at them. I have a box for each of them, full of wonderful things they did in school--cards they made for me, papers they wrote, spelling tests with "A's" on them, awards they won. You'll love looking through things like that, especially when he grows up and moves away! Children are so precious and we are so blessed the God loans them to us to love and cherish!

Those valentine's day cards made by children are the best present one can get. I cherish all the homemade cards my children have made for me over the years. I will keep them forever because they mean so much to me. Have a happy valentines day!

That's so sweet! I don't have kids but I hope that when I do they will make me Valentine's cards. I do remember, though, when I was about four, making my mom and dad a little pink Valentines day card with some scribbles all over it at playschool. On the inside it said 'Happy Valentine's Day' and I wrote my name on the bottom... We still have that card 20 years later and I tear up every time I see it... I hope your son will be like that too in another 20 years. Happy Valentine's Day :)
