I think that once you are old enough to take responsibility for your ations, and you can talk to an adult about it without feeling embarrassed, you are old enough. Personally, I would like my kids to all wait until they are adults and not teenagers, but I was only 17 myself when I did it for the first time. I found out that it was not all that I thought it would be and I didn't do it again for almost a year.

A lot of people would say to wait until you're married, but what if you never get married? I tried my best to wait until I was sure I was ready for it physically and emotionally, and until I felt I was with the right person. I had just turned 17 when that finally happened, and even though I'm not with that person now, I think it was the best decision I've ever made for myself. So, I think the best policy is to wait until you're ready, for sure.

i think u should be older then 16 to lose ur virginity so that u are out of school just in case somthing happend that she get pregnant or if he gets the girl pregnant they will be out of school that they can get a job and have money for the baby and will not have to go to school and go to work and try to take care of a baby. i was 20 when i lost mine i was out of school had a good job so that when i did get pregnant i would have a good job and was out of school since i did not go to college so i would say a good age to lose it is about 20 or older

I lost my virginity at age of 20 with my ex-boyfriend. I think you can loose your virginity when you are ready to use protection and when both people are of legal age. Then you need to be financially, physically, and emotionally able to care for the result.

I am not a guy, just a girl. So I am so sorry that I can only say this from the girl's side. For me there is no exact age when a girl should lose their virginity, the reason was simple. When someone lose their virginity, it's not about the age but the maturity and the readiness of the person to lose something that they would never be able to get it back again. It needs lots of thinking and I think girls should think about this very deeply because in some cultures, virginity matters a lot. Even when someone is old enough to lose their virginity, I don't think it would be the right age to lose it if she isn't ready for it. I hope it would answer your question. Happy myLotting

For me, when a person gets married then its the best time to loose virginity. I am still a virgin and its good. I want a girl whose a virgin. I would never liked if my wife or girl friend is touched my any other men... I know everyone I think that I'm crazy but thats how I feel about it...

i don't think you can set a certain age. For example I wouldn't come right out and say 16 or 19 or wait until your married. I think you have to be ready and more importantly responsible. It's so much better if it's with someone you love and you take the proper precautions. What should be an unforgetable experience can turn your life upside down if you aren't responsible. As i'm sure you know there's so much to be concerned about. Pregnancy, STDs, etc
