whats the reason for red colour representing love?

thats the only thing i can figure.. heart and blood..

maybe because it is brightest colour, in India its of great importance as the girl wears red on her wedding....with red mehendi on her hand...also blood is red and the most essential feature of life....lets accept it as it is accepted world wide.

Red stands for passion ^_^ IN a relationship, passion is the most important thing.. Because without passion, it means love is lost.. JUst like the things we like to do, or even hobby, we like it because we have the passion for it ^_^ THus in a relationship, like u say, red is the color of our heart, and love or passion, only comes from our heart, it's something we cant fake it ^_^

I don't know why red is the color of love. I know that in China red is the color of joy and white the color of mourning. I think, maybe I have them reversed.

You know I am not sure why the color red is shown as love. I would guess it is because the heart is red in are body but I not sure on that it just my guess.It could be because all the killing that happen on this day and all the blood that was left after. I don't know but I like it it's a nice color and I also glade that we have a day like this. You know every body could use a day like this even if its just with family and not a lover. I love to spend this day with my kids because my hubby has to go to work so there no love day for us. But I make heart shaped cookies and a big heart shaped cake. Then we eat all the stuff we made and stay up until we can't anymore, so I love this day it's fun.
