I know members of the myLot community are from countries all over the world. It is so nice to meet and exchange views and ideas that are beneficial to all of us. I am asking this question "Where are you ?" to get to know where the members are coming from. I am from Vancouver, Canada. Vancouver is a very nice beautiful City, on the west coast of Canada. I am very happy living here. Vancouver is getting ready to host the 2010 Winter Olympics. So, where are you ? What would you say what the nice and special things about the place you are at ?

I'm in Minneapolis, Minnesota. It's pretty, and can be totally interesting. There's always something to do - we have a great night life. We have movie theaters, malls, clubs, libraries, schools, restaurants, bars, pretty much everything and anything you could think of. We have great hiking/running trails, and our state boasts of being "The Land of 10,000 Lakes", although personally I've only seen a dozen or so of them. Below are links of pictures (I don't have enough posts yet to post pictures ro responses): http://i179.photobucket.com/albums/w281/maezeetrash/yuwie6.gif http://i179.photobucket.com/albums/w281/maezeetrash/yuwie7.gif :)

I am also from Floria in a little town about an hour an hald away from Walt Disney World. You must be close to me somewhere. He were i live alot of people say there isnt much to do. There is of course bowling, the mall, clubs, movies, the beach, and of course the house parties people through, so there are things to do but it gets really old after a while. Florida is gorgeous in some parts, some places of course are nasty and filty dirty so you always need to know the right places to go to.

Hi, I'm from Indiana but am living in the Yucatan , Mexico . People hear such bad things about Mexico ,making it seem awful but it really isn't . The Yucatan is very safe and beautiful ! I have lived here for over two years now . I'm in a small fishing village called Chelem . Our nearest city is Merida , its the capital of the Yucatan and its beautiful! That's where we go to do our main shopping . They have all the big stores and malls and resturants and clubs in Merida. Even though it's a big city it is full of charm . The people of the Yucatan are the kindest people I've ever known. Any weekend or Wednesday night you can go to any of the parks in Merida for free music in the square. Watching couples dance, or teenagers dancing with thier grandmothers is a real treat ! Our little village of Chelem, is mostly fishermen , and its mostly quiet and peaceful except on holidays and some weekends when we get alot of folks from Merida coming here to enjoy the beach and cooler breeze . Between the people , and the nature of it here once you are here you never want to leave it . We have learned alot from the local people here , how to smile more, laugh more , how to leave things behind, and let people in , and just live a more simplier & healthier life .. Thanks for posting this it is really nice to read about other places in the world .

I am from Tarlac City, from the largest island of the Philippines which is Luzon. y country consists of 7000 plus islands so that explains our beautiful beaches and resorts. We have plenty of white sand beaches and we have a very rich culture. Plus, the warmth and hospitality of its people.

Yes, that is true. We also have a place here which is becoming popular to both local and foreign surfers, this is in La Union a couple of hours away from where i am. We also havelots of nice spotos for scuba diving and snorkeling. So much, is to be discovered here in our country. Some of the nicest places here have been used as pit stops for the Amazing Race, if you are watching that show. So if you have the time to come and visit again, i hope you stay longer so you could have the chance to see some of these nice beaches and islands here. Have a nice day my friend.

In addition to that, here in Tarlac my home city we have the Pinatubo trek which is popular to tourists, here you will enjoy the long rugged ride and hike to the crater of Mt. Pinatubo. I am proud to say too, that it is also here in my Province that we have the Shrine of the True Cross, located in San Jose. It is the only relic of the True Cross in Asia. It is under the care of the Servants of the Risen Christ Monastic Community.

I am from Sumter, South Carolina. I have lived here almost all of my life. I really don't like being here. I would prefer to move to another city. Here there is really not much to do. Not unless there are festivals and concerts to go to. There are many people that live here, but it is just not much going on. It is very great to live here. There are some friendly people. My country is The United States Of America.

Hi, I am from Indonesia. I live in Bandar Lampung, the south part of Sumatera. To go to the capital city I have to catch a ferry from Bakauheni, the sea port for passengers. There are not many things so special in terms of tourism attraction. But my city is a quiet one, not too crowded as the capital city, Jakarta. The only one tourists' attraction is elephant training center. Come and visit me, you can email me. My city is worth visiting, I am sure.

Hi greenline, I live about 15 minutes southeast of Philadelphia, PA, which is on the East Coast of the United State of America. Although I don't particularly care for the weather, there is a lot of diversity and history in the area where I live. This area is the home of the first ever United State White house, it's where our Constitution was drafted, the Declaration Of Independence was written and signed hre, it's home to the Liberty Bell, it's where George Washington had his headquarters during the Revolutionary War, and near the area where the War turned to our favor. We are home to the first US Mint where our money is made, home of Betsy Ross House where our first Flag was made, home of the first ever Firehouse, Library, and Zoo. The list goes on and on. The area is full of sports fans of every kind. Our Arena football team won a championship last year, our baseball team won the World Series last season, our football team made the playoffs this season, our basketball team is currently in 7th place in the Eastern Conference, we have a minor league hockey team, and our professional hockey is currently in second place in our division, not to mention our soccer and in door lacrosse teams are playing right now. We are home to numerous museums, the best known being the Philadelphia Museum of Art, we are home to best Childrens Hospital in the Nation, as well as home to numerous five star restaurants, a city that supports the arts from education to music, and movie making. We are famous for our Philadelphia Cheese Steaks, Soft Pretzels, Cheese Fries, and I can't leave out, home of the real Hoagies (not subs,) with the most famous and best rolls, Amoroso's. But, like a lot of places the problems of society brings a dark cloud over the area which tends to scare people away. I can say that the media tends to sensationlize everything, making things much worse then they really are. Most people only hear the bad things about Philadelphia, but as I've listed here, we have many places and things to see, do, and learn about the history of our Homeland, the good old U. S. of A.
