Did you ever logout a web page?

Do you logout? - For web sites that let you login, you can logout as well. But did you ever logout?

I seldom logout a page. When I have finished browsing a web site, I use to visit another one directly, or just close the web browser if I am going offline. I logout only when I have multiple accounts for a website, and I need to switch between them by first logging out, and login again. In most of the time, the logout links or buttons are just decoration for me. How about you? Did you ever logout a web page?

All the time when using a public machine. At home when using my bank, retirement, and benefits sites I still log out, because I have no idea if hackers have easier access if I stay logged on to the site's application or not. I don't want to take the chance. eMail and myLot I don't bother on my home computers, but on public computers, yes, I still log out of everything. There have been several times I logged on to a public machine and logged on to mail.yahoo.com and up popped up someone else's email. Several times I confess I was bad and snooped, hoping the person didn't come back immediately and bopped me good ...

Yes, anything that has your bank or tax ID information, especially - and if you don't want your address or telephone number etc. accessed to the public, those as well.

I never logout at home. But I think you are right. It is a good practice to logout for banking, retirement, insurance, etc. sites. For public web sites, I often forget to logout before leaving. I am too careless :-)

I always logout before closing my computer becasue it is a security reason. It is better to clean cookies and close the computer if you have multiple accounts just try to use some automatic software which remembers your passwords and fills them automatically.

Do you share your computer with others? If yes, it's better to logout before closing computer. By the way, I do remember some web browsers let you clear the login details such as username and password, which is another way for cleaning up privacy data.

I seldom will logout from a web page as most of the time it's me to use the computer. But If I login in a bank account website, then usually I will log out as soon as I finish it. I love China

I'm pretty guilty of just closing the browser window before logging out. I really surf the internet a lot working and researching, not to mention logging into my survey websites and it just doesn't make sense to make an extra move by logging out when I can close it by going to another site. There is a couple of exceptions though. If I am logged into my pay pal account or any other account type area then I am always careful to log out just in case. I know that probably nothing would ever happen but I just don't like the idea of my account page possibly floating around open until it's timed out.

unless i'm using a public terminal, i seldom logout of a site period. I, being the lazy person that i am, hate to login every time i go to a site. So if the site supports cookies and keeps me logged in, i won't mess with that system :)

I only use my home computer so I don't log out. My bank and other secure sites log me out after a short time if there's no activity anyway. If I used a public computer I would definately logout.

while my friends let me tell you one thing although it is not very important but it pays to block out every time you close your secure Web pages because it gives you the extra security. It is a personal computer or maybe a laptop which is not used by any other person than you can definitely just close the browser without any problem. But if it is a computer which can be accessed by other people than I think the test quite possible that they can access your inbox and the available information. So it is better not to close the browser without signing of. Specially e-mail services and bank account websites.

Hi jickyeung, Actually I am doing mylot from office. So usually I signed in when I reach to the office and if I have work I just close the window without signing out but in case of other web pages like gmail, I prefer to sign out before closing the window. I will make sure before leaving the office signed out from all the browsers including mylot. I think if we are working at home there is no need of signing out. But in office we should do it before leaving the place.

I never bother logging out of anywhere. The only place I will log out of is PayPal. I will log out if I am on websites at college, but unless this is the case I never log out. I am the only one in my house who uses this laptop, my dad and brother have their own and my mum uses my brothers, so I don't see the need to log out. It's not likely that anyone else can ever get hold of the laptop, so it's all good!

I do log out everytime I leave a website. I am afaid of someone getting a hold of any of my personal information,a nd would rather spend that extra few seconds to log in than to leave myself vulnerable when I am not on the site.

Most of us are not logging out our accounts, due to our laziness if we are using the computers in our home. This may be due to the fact entering the user name and password each and every time is some what boring one. In some websites, we are forced to log out after certain time. In that case i will be using auto fill software, to make the entrance easy . But this is not advisable ,to keep on line our account, as there is a possibility for hackers to enter into our account and can do any thing on behalf of us. I will do the log out only for bank accounts and for money transactional accounts,as we can't leave these accounts as such. But we should have the habit of logging out.
