Cats are wonderful de-stressors. My cats are my life right now since I am going through a divorce. They are something to come home too and live for. They watch tv with me and give me something to take care of. I don't know what I would do without them. So what hard times have your cats helped you through? Whats your cat story.
I have two Ashley which is my Avatar and Carlye who is a black and white bicolor.

Pets really are great companions, Aurone, and I'm glad you have your fur babies to help you through the rough times. I don't have any right now but I have had a couple of dogs in the past who made great companions. They are always willing to listen to you and they never disagree with you.
As you stated they also provide a wonderful outlet if you have that mothering instinct.

I agree that cars are wonderfull de-stressort. I am a pretty stressed out type of person, but luckily I have a whopping total of 6 cats to make up for it, lol!
There is Beertje who is my moms red tabby male cat who is very cuddly and pretty much a slowpoke and a sweetheart that will let you do anything to him as long as he gets attention.
Then there is Daisy, she is allmost ten now and the oldest of the gang. She is a white female who drools all over us both figularly and literarly speaking.
This is something she developed when she got older. She is very affectioned and wouldn't hurt a fly. She really feels it when you are down and comforts you.
Third in line is my boyfriends bicolour black an white male, he is pretty skinny and only shows affection for my boyfriend pretty much. He likes to sleep on our bed during the day is one of us is home to keep us company.
Fourth is DJ, she is a 2 year old female with a spicy temperament, but also very sweet. She knows what she wants and she will get it. She's a tortoise coloured short hair.
Fifth and sixt in line are Bollie and Karma who are still kittens. They came from my neighbour and are brother and sister. Karma is a female white and tortoise bicolour:a very sweet and playfull thing. Bollie is my little chubby male kitten, he is a brownish tabby colour and he is very affectioned with me. He follows me around the house, waits by the door for me to come home and is the only cat who ever slept with me on the bed cuddling up next to me. He has a poor sight and meows a lot to communicate and wants cuddles 24/7. He is my biggest de-stressor as he asks a lot of attention but gives so much peace and warmth in return.

Your cats are so pretty. It sounds like you have a house full of kitty love. That is great. I would have more if I had room, but I am at my apartment limit right now. Both of my cats will sleep with me from time to time. I have woken up with one on each side so that I can't even move! Carlye my bicolor likes to watch tv with me and they both think they make great laptops. lol. I hope one day to have a place where I can foster cats so I can help other kitties get as good of homes as mine.

That sounds absolutely lovely. There are a lot of kitties out there that need our help. We were supposed to get just one kitty from my neighbour but she wasn't able to find a home for the other one. We couldn't bare to see it go into a pound or something, so we just took them both in eventually. You wouldn't believe how fast you have a large bunch of cats (if you indeed have the room and time for it).
I still live with my parents and when I move out 3 or 4 cats will move with me, so I do want a nice place where they have sufficient room...lol! Not just for me, but also for them because they will drive each other crazy if there is little room.
I'll add another photo of one of my kitties that wasn't on the first picture

Cats are the best. My cat Sasha is always near me. When I go from one room to another she tags along. Often when at the laptop in the den she jumps on my lap for a pet. She cries if she doesn't know where I am. She is my best buddy! I have a dog ,too, and she's great but too hyper for my taste. Cats are calm, cool, and collected. I got divorced many years ago from a short marriage. It sucked and another cat, not Sasha (she wasn't around yet), did help me through. Cats seem to know when you need them to snuggle with you and when you need a laugh.

Any time I am feeling down or blue I can count on my cats to cheer me up. Mine have some pretty silly behavior which puts a smile on my face. Even if my husband and I have had a fight and maybe we both said some things we did not mean...the cats will usually reconcile us by doing something funny and making us both laugh.
