hello everybody here at Mylot.
my hubby and i had the best time in the world visiting with our friend's that came and visited with us yesterday afternoon. when they got here last night, we all went out to the Chinese Buffet and it was delicious. then we all came on back here again, sat around and talked until way late, and then we all went to bed, and this morning we all got up and visited while we sat around and had our morning coffee. then one thing lead to another and we spent almost all day together visiting with each other. and i wouldn't have wanted to spend my Valentine's holiday any other way. i guess that it will be around the Memorial Day Holiday weekend when we get to visit with our friend's again.
so tell me, did you get to visit with a friend today?
thanks for sharing and have a beautiful afternoon.

It's always nice visiting friends cause you can get reacquainted with them, share stories, reminisce stuff you used to do ages ago, all your pranks and all the inside jokes only the two of you understand. I wish I have the time to rekindle old friendships but of course I must admit that's really not an excuse. if you want to, you have to make time. it's just hard to leave work sometimes.

Sounds like you had a great time with your friends. Good friends are hard to find. I wasn't able to do anything with friends on Valentine's Day or the day after but we did email each other over and over again. My dear friend, who lives about 3 miles from me, had to work so we couldn't get together.

Well, over the weekend since it was my husbands and mine 10 yr. Wedding Anniversary, we spent the weekend in Portland, OR and got a hotel room and had a nice quiet time by ourselves. We did go to Church on Sunday at a friend of ours sons Church, and did get to meet his Pastor, and talk with him and his wife a little which was nice, but it was nice to have Peace and Quiet and for the most part be alone as well. Glad to hear you had a nice Valentines weekend as well.

I did not get to spend time with friends, but i did get to spend it with my family. I must say that it was one of the best Valentine's Day holiday that i have had in a long time. My husband was actually able to be home with me and the children and grandchildren. The children all got some chocolate for the day, which was a suprise for them. All in all the day turned out pretty good. I am glad your Valentine Day went so well.

It sounds like you had a wonderful time. Last weekend I spent the weekend with my best friend. I had my 4 yr. old grandson and she had her granddaughter who is the same age. We had a blast, we went shopping, had chinese for lunch. We then went back to her house, the kids played with the karaoke machine. They said they were rockin out. They were also excited because they got to eat junk food. The next day we went to a birthday party. We all had so much fun, it was great.

It is always nice to have close family friends putting up in our house. It makes the relationships for both sides more closely knit. I have missed this part of union with my friends as everyone has gone their way or are pretty busy with their own lives. You had a beautiful and enjoyble time with your friends.

Sounds like you had a whale of a time, and making very meaningful and precious connections with great friends of yours. A friend on another forum was telling me he and his wife spent Valentine's Day dancing away, and one church friend we know spent the night cooking up a romantic dinner at home then enjoyed the rest of the night listening to their favorite songs with the hall lights dimmed....so romantic! I'm sure glad you had a wonderful and memorable time.

Hi TnWoman! That is such a wonderful day you had my dear! I, too had two wonderful days this weekend! My husband's cousins and two of our friends stayed up until the wee hours of the morning spending Valentine's Day with us. And the following Sunday morning until the evening, we spend the time together..talking, cooking, and shopping at the duty free shops. It was exhausting yet so fun!
Take care always my friend! Celebrate life!

Hi TnWoman,
I am so glad you had a wonderful time with your friends, it is nice to do that now and again, we just had a normal day, nothing unusual, my hubby don't really want to do anything, he'd rather spend all day riding his bike with his mates. My friends just do their own things.Love and hugs.

Sometimes the best medicine in the world can be friends, whatever happens in your life they are the ones who can be counted on. I think it is wise to always treasure your friends and never take them for granted.
I lost one of my best friends last year at such a young age. So it is good to have beautiful days like that with the ones who matter.

I did indeed visit with some friends today. I am glad that your friend's visit went so well. That is always nice and makes getting together again something really special to look forward to. Dave came over to visit me. He lives next door. I love talking with him or his wife as they are very interesting people with tons of life's experiences to share and we can talk so easy, as if we have know each other for more than the year that we have. Do you and your friends take turns going to visit each other, or do they always come to your home?

I love it when that happens! I don't have any friends here in my new place, they're all 1800 miles away! But we visit by phone, which is better than nothing. I remember my ex and I used to go visit our friends and stay the night, kids and all, then half the next day. It was great to have coffee and breakfast together after sitting up most of the night talking. Ah, good days!
