I visited Jim's grave in Paris. It was not an uplifting experience. The whole entire cemetary was defaced. From graffiti to vandalism of tombstones, there was hardly a grave left untouched. Police were all over the place. Gazing awkwardly as I silently cried for Jim to have to rest surrounded by all this. There was more to Jim Morrison than drugs and alcohol. If he was just a rambling drunk, he would not be known today. He was a very talented poet first and foremost. I wish people would stop disrespecting the band and him by destroying other peoples property in his name. It is so stereotypical to assume that he was always incoherant. Oliver Stone made a good movie, but, that's it. It's just a movie. Oliver Stone wasn't there. It told one side of the story, a story that has more sides than the sky has stars.
