from the celebrity who stayed at a villa that I manage. I'm such a dodo. They left yesterday morning and I went to the villa before going to Church to say goodbye to them. They surprisingly gave me a gift bag that had his latest CD which will be released in April and a T shirt with his name on it. I thought that this was so kind and thanked them. They really were marvellous guests and such genuine down to earth people. They stayed with us for five weeks and each week they brought down a new set of guests and family. In fact, the first two weeks they brought down their employees and I thought that was so kind of them.
So I played the CD on the way home from Church and really enjoyed listening to him sing. I left the bag with the T shirt in the car and this morning when I arrived at work I took up the gift bag and brought it into my office.
Sometime later, I said to myself that I should really look at the T shirt. I knew that it had his name on it as all the staff received a T shirt and told me.
So I opened the T shirt and an envelope fell to the ground. When I opened the envelope there was a card thanking me and there were five $100 bills. I've been a a bit of a daze since then. This is so wonderful as most of my friends know that I will be in NC on the 26th of this month. I know that I did a good job and they had a wonderful time but I have never received this before as a tip. In fact, I do not normally get tips as I suppose that I have this air about me like I don't need it! At least, this is what I am told. They were more than generous with the staff too.
This is a tough month, what with going away and buying the chair and battling the increases in utility bills etc. I feel overwhelmed at their generosity and thank God for taking care of me. Has anything like this happened to you?
I am sorry that my posts are long but I am a story teller and I do not get to the point quickly.

Your post is great and so is your blessing. Congratulations.
There are nice, thoughtful people out there that really appreciate you and the work you do.
As for what your co-workers said, sometime action speaks louder than words. My daughter has that same air about her that you have about not needing any help. It is all in how you carry yourself, sometime it is good and sometime it is bad.
It is a good thing to be independent.

It is goof to be independant but pride is my biggest sin. They were lovely people though and we miss them but the next set of guests are here and we are treating them good too. Thaks for responding

That's a really nice story, thanks for sharing.
I am not a celebrity gusher so the thing that I take from your experience is the thoughtfulness of one human being to another, for whatever reason - your great service, or just because they have the means to be generous.
You mention several other guests that have stayed previously at the villa, and this is the first time you have been tipped in such a way. I am sure you offered the same service to those previous individuals, but they obviously didn't have the generous spirit of your latest guest.

We have famous people staying and ordianry people who come as a family group and have saved hard for this vacation. My policy is to treat each guest as a super star and I treat all guests the same. I have got tipped before but this happens rarely but the staff do get good tips. I look like I do not need it!lol. Thaks for responding

Wow, it just goes to show you that there are more good celebrities in this world then people might think. I know you can't disclose the name, or you wouldn't want to but could you tell the genre in which this person sings? Congratulations on your very big tip!

I am glad that you have had such nice celebrity guests and understand that you can't disclose any information about him, and wouldn't want to make you lose your job. Just wanted to know the genre, but can understand how that might be sensitive information as well!

Aww, I'm so disappointed! Honestly, I'm not press and I won't leak it to anyone, I'm just nosy is all. But you're such a strong person for keeping their secret. If it were me meeting a celebrity (granted I'm not used to meeting any celebrities at all) I probably wouldn't be able to keep quiet about it! I guess that's why I haven't met many, lol.

I wish that I could but one of the things they said in their card to me was they thought that I was wonderful to respect their privacy and not tell the press etc. I wish that I could Kat. I'm sorry.

I know and I do not mean to tease but I will pm you on past people that have stayed some years ago. I gave mmy word rocket, and they are returning next year. As soon as they reach they are booking for next year. I gave mny word and I cannot do it. This is a blessing from God. The timing is spot on! I give thanks. Blessings

It's okay to have long stroies some of us love reading them. That was wonderful of the people to give you the gifts and the money. It's nice that they have it to give and are generous people. Just pray for them that they will always do well as they are the few that help others. Enjoy the cd and the money. I'd put the t-shirt in a frame and save it.

Thank you for your kind response. I am going to keep the T shirt and I told the staff that we will wear the shirts when they come back next year, to welcome them. I thought that would be a nice gesture. The cd is great and I am sure that he will make a lot of money. Blessings

Oh, Cynthiann, how sweet and generous of your guests! I believe GOD will take care of those whom are faithful. My husband just had a couple to come by to view a cattle trailer he has had sitting in the pasture for many years. When he was transferred on his job, he had to give up his cattle and never had started back. He told me a few minutes ago that the guy wanted to buy it and was very anxious. Funny thing is, he lives on the same road we do and has our last name! HE is not kin, either. I believe God sent him here. My husband had asked $800 although he has lots more in it, but it's old and needs lots of repair. I told him to sell it because he would probably never use it again. The guy is coming after it tonight after work with cash money. He also told my husband, when he got it all fixed up, he could come down and borrow it any time he wanted to! Now, that is being generous!!

Yes, it was a wonderful thing for them to do and they did it so tastefully . The letter was so nice and we should have themn for a repeat booking next year so it has been wonderful. They gave the staff at the house more than I received and they are overjoyed as they well deserve it as they were so magnificent. Thank you for sharing my joy. Blessings

oh that sounds so good. You really so lucky, for the gift, and also for the bugs. I think you're really surprised to get such unexpected gift. I think it's a great award for your work it also shows your importance to them. you seem to be obedient to them, that is the reason I think they gifted, you their forthcoming album.I wish you get the tips again and again.

Well, I was gpoing to take it with me when I go to NC next week to see my daughter and buy things which will be unavailable in my country due to the economic crisis. But on second thoughts I put it into my US dollar account tosave for my daughter's wedding. I cannopt pay for the wedding but at lewast I can buy her dress and pay a few small bills.
