I'd like to know too, cuz I love taking pictures too! I guess you could make a porfolio and maybe go to places like magazines, or places that buy photos and see what they think... If you find out anything really good that works will ya let me know?

well someone suggested dreamstime to me and i signed up. i put a couple good pics on there and they were rejected. i thought they were good. im not a pro i just shoot at what im interested in and to me it is pretty. i have several photos i have framed and my brother had blown a pic i took of him and his future wife to a poster size and it is awesome. not bragging im not a bragger. but i was discouraged. try it tho you may have better luck. its free at least. it takes forever to get the pics looked at tho. good luck and ill let you know for sure if i do find something. as long as it is not a scam or crap like that. thats my main thing. i cant find anything on here that dont lead to a scam or lies.

There are lots of ways you can sell your photos! I would recommend starting out by selling them yourself online. The way I make the most money from my photos is by selling stock photos. I have information on what stock is, how it works, and what websites you can submit your photos to listed in my blog http://funonlinemoney.blogspot.com/2008/12/sell-your-photos.html You can also sell prints of your photos online. This includes selling your photos on calendars, mugs, mousepads, jigsaw puzzles, etc. There are several websites that offer this service. It is free for you, you just join the website, upload your photos, and select what products you want to sell your photos on. The websites set a base price for your photos, and give you a markup. When users visit the website and buy your photos, the website company makes the product and ships it. They keep the base price to cover their costs, and you get the mark up amount! The websites I've had the most success with selling my photos like this are cafepress.com, zazzle.com, deviantart.com and redbubble.com. If you'd like to sell your photos offline by selling them to magazines, book publishers, greeting card companies, etc. then I would highly recommend getting yourself a copy of the book Photographer's Market. It has information on what companies accept submissions from photographers and exactly how you sell your photos to the company! It's also got information on photo contests you can enter, exhibits you can submit your photos to, as well as all kinds of helpful hints! They come out with a new version each year, so the 2009 edition is the most recent!
