it depends on if it electronic or old school if it is computer it can be turned up at a shop if it is yours old school change the turbo and turn up governor in between old and new its a matter of changin the chip in the brain box also it matters what gear ratio in your rear end and if your trying to climb hills faster or just be long legged so tell me more like what year model make gear ratio and eng type/ need more input.
