British Humor!

Are you good at understanding a British humor? I won't deny that British humor isn't funny for me, I just don't get it. I have heard that it is one of the greatest, all you have to do is to learn to understand it, but trust me, I have tried.
I have read online jokes, watched British comedies on a TV, nothing happened, no laughter for me... All I saw was a little stupidity.
Maybe you know the recipe for understanding these jokes?

i dont get it as well,..of course only their countrymen understand and enjoy it. Like for example, comedy in my country might be different from yours. Like when we are with people we are close with,we have private jokes that only we can understand. That goes the same for British humor probably, only they appreciate it cause they have their "private jokes" as well
