Ok have things gone too far?

I love Shrek! but not so sure about Shrek the musical. But I guess it would be kinda cute for those who like the musical kind of thing. If another Shrek movie came out I would watch it, but not so sure about the musical.

to be honest if I had the money and the kids wanted to see it I'd suffer through it but just to go Oh wild horses couldn't get me to go. And I had no clue it was a musical. Next they'll start turning all anime shows into musicals

Oh my I think things are getting to be too out of hand when they make a musical out of Shrek. I understand the movies, books, toys etc, but really do we need a musical? Just think future generations will look back and see this as a musical and wonder what the times have been about.

This is the first I have heard about a musical for the movie SHREK. I don't think it is something I would want to go see, but I am sure lots of people will love it. I think it might be taking things a little too far. I mean there are 3 SHREK movies already not including SHREK the Halls. I also heard they were coming out with a 4th movie.

Well, they do tend to make a musical out of some of those popular movies. I remember seeing one based on the Lion King. Doesn't really surprise me.

I saw them do a skit from the show on TV. I was wondering what has come of Broadway that they made Shrek into a Broadway musical. I will have to admit that I was Not a fan of the movie. I didn't see the entertainment that others saw. It was kinda cute, but not Broadway quality.

I find that pretty sad that shrek is a musical on brodway. I guess I would go see it just to see whats it like and who knows it could turn out pretty good even though its probally stupid. But I bet kids would love it. It seems that a lot of movies are turning into musicals which isnt a good idea.

Nope. It's no different than beauty & the beast being on broadway. I think they probably do it so they could attract more families with younger kids & $ to burn to broadway.

This is the first I've heard of the musical, but it certainly does sound like fun! I've always wanted to see a good musical, like Beauty and the Beast or the Lion King on broadway. The only one I've been able to see though is the Phantom of the Opera, the travelling show came to my town.
