Pakistan made a cease fire deal with the Taliban. They are allowing Islamic Law and stop offensive military actions in Swat. NATO and foreign countries are now worried this will provide a safe heaven for muslim extremist in the country.A senior U.S. Defense Department official, said "it is hard to view this as anything other than a negative development." Extremists in Swat have beheaded opponents and torched scores of girls schools in recent months. What do you make of this development?

Not very sure what would be the consequences of that but it looks like a positive sign becasue the deal has been made in interest of both them and the government.
