Michael Jackson....WHAT?

Welp, AGAIN with my gossip daily email, I have heard that Michael Jackson is having an auction in Los Angeles to sell off his legendary Jeweled White Glove, you all know what I'm talking about, as well as various other memorabilia that is associated with the original pop king himself, including a robotic head and apparently popemobiles with his face on the side...or did it say pop-mobiles....ANYWHO, I further read and see that he is 50 years old! Half a century old! He can punch kick, AND punch! (sorry, Molly Shannons' old character from SNL he he) I'm am SHOCKED to hear that he is 50. I never really thought of it, nor cared, but am still shocked! Makes me also realize that I'M getting old! I further read some more! What else is going on with the aging popstar? He has been diagnosed with a flesh eating bug and is being closely monitored by doctors 24/7 pretty much. What else can happen to him? Maybe they'll make it sound the legendary story of his plastic surgery mishaps was at fault because of this, who knows? Has anyone else heard about this? Does anyone have more info on this? About the disease itself?

fleshing eating bug sounds like that strep, think that's the only thing around, its pervasive in lots of hospitals, almost no place is more dangerous than a hospital!

I KNOW! I remember my grandma had to go to the hospital for surgery, on what I can't remember, but not even a month later, she had to be admitted due to a virus she got from the surgery room, apparently it's quite common whenever someone has a surgery, and that's another reason they give people antibiotics, not only for the healing process, but to stop any contracting bugs to infect you. And do you mean strep throat? And no, that's not the only thing around. Thanks for responding!

there are MANY kinds of streps, for example - Pinkeye is a strep the fleshing eating strep is another one - strep throat is one of the nicest of the family

I have no further info on the flesh eating bug unfortunatly, but it sounds pretty serious. Perhaps there are different kinds of flesh eating bugs out there, because it sounds like it can do a pretty lot of damage and it sounds like a pretty general name at the same time. It might just depend on the type of bug. I never realised he was 50 aswell, wow! Somehow we forget these people age aswell.

yeah they announced that auction awhile back.. i cant believe he is 50 either but i guess it makes sense.. he has so many health problems it seems to differ day to day but some of them may have been brought on by stuff he has done.. i feel bad for him.. he was destined to be screwed up from day 1 in that family and environment emotionally and obviously it shows through to him physically and health wise

I agree, I remember watching that made for tv movie about his family from the time the Jackson 5 started up, and we all got a close up of his abusive father, that made me so sad. Thanks for responding!

Not on the disease, but I did hear he was having this auction because of being sued for 5 million dollars. i really feel sorry for Micheal Jackson! It seems no one ever just leaves him alone! Once he is out of court for one thing someone else brings him back to court for something else. I don't see how this guy can have any money left. Well he must not have much if he needs to start selling his things. I just wish people would leave him alone!! I can't believe he is 50 already! I remember watching shows when he was little and in the jackson 5. He was such a cute little kid! Now look at him. He became very unlucky in his life. I feel people should just let him be he is getting up there in age and he deserves to be left alone and to finish his life without all the stress of what he has had to go through.
