Right now I am really having to pinch the pennies like so many others. I have a craft room that is just loaded. I am clearing out some of my craft books that I don't use, duplicates, and such. I have a list of items that are for sale and will be adding to it over the next few days. If anyone is interested, please send me an email. I will save your address and send you an updated list as I add more things. Also, if you should know of a place where I could list these items at no charge please let me know. Right now there is alot of crochet books (patterns) available and I will be adding beading, cross stitch, knitting and what ever else I come across.

You can list things for sale on craigslist and it won't cost you anything. You don't have to list just in your area, either.

There are a couple of places I used to sell books--Half.com, Ioffer.com, etsy.com (I think you can list books there) all these places take a fee after the book is sold. If you are wanting to trade books (get something new) then paperbackswap is a good site (let me send you a referral link if you are interested in that one-PM me). They trade more that just paperbacks. Amazon is a good listing site but they take high percentage out of each sale--I always try the other ones first. I would be interested in Cross stitching or crochet books that you have.

I too have been pinching pennies and finding ways to save as well. Even saying that I'm still interested in the books you have for beading. I have a lot of different ones but I still maybe interested. Just sent the list here as a pm and that'll be great.

I dont know how to email you but you might want to also look into Bonanzle. It is free to list and just a small fee if you sell. I wish there was an online swap site for these patterns!!

Consider donating the books you don't sell to a school library or community center. You could also look for other crafters in your area and see if they are willing to do a book swap with you. Often people get books on top of books with the best intentions (or even as gifts) and wind up never using them. You may have something someone else needs who is also pinching pennies and would be grateful to have. You could always have a yard sale, those don't cost anything but your time.

I suggest that you use Half.com. There is no upfront fee, you set the price, and you can keep your books listed as long as you like. You only pay a fee if and when the book actually sells. I've sold quite a lot through the site and been happy. It is owned by Ebay, but unlike Ebay there is no listing fee or limited time that you can keep it up. I also swap a lot of books for others on PaperbackSwap.com, which I love. That way you could get new (to you) books for your crafts by trading. Good luck selling your books and with your crafting!

You can list things on Craiglist. There is no charge, also Half.com. Send me the list I am very interested in crocheting and crafts.
