One of our buyer ask for discount of the goods already shipped out for about half month. It happens like that, we find this buyer in one of our exhibit. we learned that this buyer have lots of suppliers in our city and all the supplier said it is a reputable and large company. We look high of this buyer and do order for it. After 4 times of order their boss said it is economic crisis in the world and they meet problem in selling goods, they hope supplier can help them to survive from this difficult period. They hope we can change the payment term in the invoice that already signed. We considerd the long time cooperation and real difficult that they meet we agreed. We chang the payment term to 80% after goods send out. Of course they can not get the goods without out agreement. But after we changed the payment term, they ask for discount for goods that already shipped out and will arrive their country soon. If we do not agree the discount they will cancel the order. We have no try as if we take back the goods we should pay for the transport fee and should make document for important these goods (it is really difficult and cost very high. Also we can only sell them as stock(the price is very low). This is the first time I meet this kind of buyer and this kind of affair. I really can not understand how could a large company do it like that. They do not consider other's losing just see how much they could take from the discount. All most all the suppier for this buyer have discount for the order this time. I feel business is really difficult in everytime. Have you come to such affair? How did you deal with it or do you have any suggestion?

although this event hurts you much, it will be a good lesson when doing business in future. in future, you will pay more attention on customer's reputation and will carry out strict anti-risk items to pretect your company's benefits. the situation what you said aboved, there is no choice but accepting this discount as you are in the adverse position. wish you good bussniess in future.
