I want to erase a certain portion of my tattoo...

I want to erase a certain portion of my tattoo? Which part? Well, the name of the person who broke my heart. Looking at it in the mirror everyday makes me sick to my stomach! I put a dirt on skin and forever that dirt will not be removed completely. I though it was a beautiful scar. Now, it is just like an accident mark. If I have my tattoo,a name tattoo, will it still leave marks of the name? Or is it much better to get an overlapping tattoo so it will cover the name? Help! Some useful answers there please! I want this to be removed as soon as possible.

tattoo removal doesn't have a very good result. you're much better off showing it to a tattoo artist, and I'm sure they'll be able to suggest ways in which your current design can be added to in order to cover the design. my partner had a whole tattoo (no name, just an old one he didn't really like) covered up with a new design, and you would hardly know it was there if you didn't already know. so a name isn't too bad to cover up.

Hi there Galena! Thanks for that tip. So, now I am already decided to get an overlapping tattoo. Thank you so much for the tip.

I think overlapping tatoos are less expensive.. Could always have a sense of humor and have them tatoo a turd on it or something :D giggles.. But Tatoo artists are pretty good or choose a solid color design around the name.. and they can match the color to fill it in..... I used to do homemade tatoos for my friends they all got mad cause I refused to do bf gf names on theirs.. but in the end they all thanked me... Many people who been in accidents like to have tatoos of symbols dealing with the accidents.. Could always put a broken heart there or something... shrugs.. I like my turd suggestion the best :d .. I never recommend scratching or scraping it off.. there are also fake tatoos you can put on top of them too... temporary ones if nothing else.. - DNatureofDTrain
