Nope, I don't use anything that's "coated" with anything. I use stainless and my good old reliable Griswald cast iron.

You can put them in the dishwasher as long as you take them out right away. They get rusty that's all. If they get rusty all you have to do is smear some grease all over it and put in the oven while you bake something. You could run a truck over um.

All while growing up, we only had Cast Iron. My mom wouldn't let us wash them in the dishwasher.

There really isn't too much you can do, except to cook over even heat and stir your food a lot. When you are finished cooking, pour some apple cider vinegar in the pan and scrub it with steel wool or a green scrubbing pad. This should remove anything that has cooked onto your pan.

Won't scrubbing damage the smooth surface and make it even stickier? I'm already using a nice glass top electric for what I assume is even heat. apple cider vinegar, hhmmm.
