I buy about an equal number of each, but I'm really bad at slicing bread. If I cut the bread, it is never straight, so if a slice I have cut is toasted one end gets burnt and the other hardly toasted at all! My sandwiches are thin at one end and you can't get your mouth around the other end. The trouble is that the whole loaves taste so much better. How about you? I imagine that in different countries, bread comes in many shapes and sizes.

We buy both in my home, or durning the holidays make our own. As i am like you, I can't slice it worth a darn. Some are paper thin, other slices are a whole notebook, lol... I do like the taste of whole loaves, and fresh oven bread better than the already sliced but most of the time we just use the already sliced because it's just the simpliest in our home.

My slices are paper thin one end and notebook thickness at the other - sometimes with a hole in the middle!

I like the bread that is already cut, but there are times when I like getting the uncut bread. Or if I am in a spectacular mood, I will make bread myself. Homemade bread is always the best yum yum.

Home-made bread is definately the best, but not if I make it!

Hi, I always buy sliced bread but yesterday I bought a tiger loaf and asked the baker if they have a sliced loaf and they have a machine that slices it. I didn't know you could get it sliced at the bakers so I'll be going there more often:)

When they use a slicer it doesn't taste the same, maybe it's because they just can't cut it like I can! Also, I think bread keeps fresher when it hasn't been sliced.
