http://www.channelnewsasia.com/stories/entertainment/view/408988/1/.html This came as a very big surprise for many of us. I have been listening to this DJ for a good part of my life. I guess it is just his way of letting people know without some nosey reporter coming up to them to ask the long and short of it.

U talking about Glenn Ong and jamie yeo?? hehe ^_^ That was last week's news already.. lol =D It was actually quite unexpected and to think that he's able to announce through his own programme was quite shocking too.. After all, they always seem so close together but according to him, the split was inevitable But no matter what, i guess it might be for some publicity acts or even gaining of sympathy votes?? haha

Yeah. Goes to show how long it takes for me to catch up with the news eh? I dunno about the gaining of sympathy votes. But it sure is a publicity stunt. I wonder what could have gone so wrong that they have to split. I always believe in forging strong relationship bonds with my wife. That is why when there is a proble, we try to face it togeher, head on, so that it will not affect our relationship. And most times, we come out stronger than before. Now a days, people don't view marriage with as much importance as they did before. The divorce rates today speaks for itself. Right now Glenn and Jamie are just seperated. I sure hope they make up. It is such a waste to get married and then go thru the hassles of splitting up.

Possible. It is possible. I guess with rich people, getting married and then separated again is easy. Cos money is never a problem. So they can afford to experiment for real to see if a relationship will work out or not. So frivolous with their feelings!

Actually they are not that really compatible with each other.. Their characters are somehow different and it's amazing that they are able to get married in the first place.. haha =D Maybe it's also due to, 'lian ai easy, xiang chu hard', and thus causing the breakup?? After all, they are only together for a short period of time b4 they decide to get married ^_^ SO, it can be a lesson for those couple to learn too ^_^

I think he has gone overboard by publicly announcing it over the radio. He has taken advantage of the facilities entrusted upon him and misusing his position to make his personal life known to the world outside and make it sound like it is of public interest. The public is not keen to know personal life of people in the county. Though it might be a short announcement but isn't that a waste of public fun for a news not worth a dime?

Oh yes, I forgot about this publicity stunt to be in the race for popularity on his program and the station he is representing. It could be to wake everybody's concern and curiousity in this midweek of dull moments. What a laugh? This also happens in mylot when someone announce that she will be leaving mylot for good only to see her back a couple of days latter. A cheap but effective publicity stunt. She got tons of people coming up (including me) to pacify and plead with her to retract her decisions. For all I know she is laughing behind the screen after witnessing her success in pulling everybody's legs. From now on I vow not be taking for a ride easily and should anyone say anything like this I will just say 'Good riddance' pack and go we are comfortable with or without you.

Woah~~! That is a pretty stern stand to take. But no once can blame you. I too find it odd that some people will make such announcements as a publicity stunt. Well, for the case of the DJ, it doesn't seem to be the case. With the gossip mills all busy right now, no one is sure what is truth and fact, and what is rumor and false. But a publicity stunt it is.

I don't see why he need to do so on the air, in fact I was pretty much amused. By the way, most DJs are earning big bucks that they own huge, nicely furnished houses. No matter how good his personality is, I felt disgusted as if he's trying to tell the world, "Look I'm a free man now, I can enjoy all my luxuries I have and please send me your blessings!" Do you get people who are bankrupts or starving in the streets to go on air to announce "Please help us, we're dying, oh please!" No we don't but these are the people who truly deserve our help, and not to pity another celebrity who has filed for separation. I'm sure with their fortunes and wisdom, they can handle it on their own.

I didn't quite agree with what he did, it's just not something a guy would do IMO.
