the iraqi man who threw his shoes at former us persident george w bush in december is to go on trail in baghad.muntadar al-zaidi is charged with assaulting a foreign leader and faces a maximum sentence of 15 years his lawyer argue he was simply expressing his view in a country wher passion are still inflamed after the us led invasion in 2003 the trial is due to open on thursday morning in baghdad however after an appeal by the defence team the court may change the tv reporter achieved global notoriety by his action which were celebrated across the arab world

I think that's a little harsh, don't you? I mean, if I had ever been close enough to throw a shoe at George W., I most likely would (and I'm sure 99% of people agree with me on this one).
