how can you differentiate true love and infatuation

I think it has to do with the time frame, really. I think infatuation and love are equally intense, but love lasts much longer than infatuation, which usually blows over rather quickly (and you move onto your next target of obsession).

Well,in infatuation you just admire the other's personalities and qualities and you are not affected by them in their absence.In love,you love her presence and really miss them in their absence.But it is really hard to differentiate both.I think only after marriage can we find out whether it was lust or love.

Infatuation is that you forget them for some or the other reasons... But love is something that you will forget under any circumstances.
