What is the reason for accounts getting banned?

They banned account of one of my friend here without giving any particular reason. He had got near 8$ and was about to reach the pay out, but now they deleted his account. What about the work he did to reach 8$, they should have banned him in the beginning itself if they had any problem, but they did it now when he was about to reach the payout, is this fair in any sense?

Hi vipini. Your friend should contact myLot through the link at the bottom of the page. Maybe there is a mistake. However if he was violating the rules here then myLot delete without warning as is stated in the TermsOfUse. You will not get an explanation from users here in a discussion as to why your friend can no longer access his account and myLot will not tell you here either. You should ask him if he was breaking any of the rules though before you blame myLot as they do not usually ban without a reason unless there is a mistake. Hope you get your answers and good luck!

Actually this is unfair if some body has not violated any rule but the site admin better knows the truth still i think site admin should warn first time to members.your friend should contact the admin.

Hey friend I am fully agree with your view. The question of fair and unfair is debatable. But in my opinion if the member violated any laid down rules and terms & condition he should immediately be banned but at the same time site admn should inform the member the actual reason for banning , what violation he did. Simply banning the account without giving any justification is not at all good. Moreover the member should be warned if he violated the rules first time. pkc3000

Mylot makes the rules and if someone breaks them they have the right to ban the person. I find though that it would be the decent thing to warn people the first time around and when they get banned Mylot should give them a reason. As far as the money is concerned I read in another discussion that it gets distributed among the other users. Don't know if this is correct or not. Your friend should contact Mylot and ask them nicely to tell him/ her why he was banned.

I am sure they don't do such things without any reason. There must be some cause that he must have done against the terms and conditoins of mylot. I think they also inform the person when they delete anyone's account.

Mylot might be right in deleting his account.. First of all, he has been a member of mylot for how long?? ANd how much posts does he have to his name?? PLus, if he has less than 500 posts and he's found to be cutting and pasting, that's considered illegal and that might be one cause for banned.. Secondly, he might be breaking the rules of mylot for quite a number of times and even have multiple account in here and thus, he's being banned too ^_^ There are just so many possiblities.. MAybe u should ask your friend, what has he done..

hmm.. did he post things with referral links in them? did he post short or non discussion discussions? did he talk or name out anyone in a discussion? did he post personal stuff that wasnt discussion form or common discussion topics that had been done a lot already? i dont know who you are talking about but those are the only things i can think of that he/she could have done.. i have known several people lose their accounts but almost all had been involved in either something or people claimed they had been and so the trolls got them deleted.. but i dont think it has anything to do with how much money he/she had made since i have gone way beyond that and made payout and more many times so i would think if they liked to ax people before they made money i would have been ax'd already have your friend bug them and ask them what he/she did and see if there was a misunderstanding etc..

I guess if they feel we are violating rules they can ban us. Sorry to hear it happened to your friend especially when so close to payout.

they ban someone as soon as they find out something is wrong, go to the guidelines and read them you will find out why a person gets banned.

They should give him his money as well as an explanation! That also happened to a friend of mine and he had no idea why they did that. MyLot doesn't seem to be very friendly to the ones who make the money for them, which is us. I understand why they would ban someone for breaking the rules but they should tell them which one they broke and maybe give a warning. There are many non-English speakers here who have not read all the rules because of the language barrier.

i have a friend here on my list who's account was been deleted also, so she made a new one and i think it got deleted again for i dont see her anymore. there are rules here in mylot. he needs to follow that carefully. my friend has a friend also that is a long time member and has almost 40 dollars in her account then got deleted too. we all need to follow the rules and regulations very well.

THere are several reasons for accounts getting banned such as posting inflammatory discussions, attacking religions or races, being rude to other members. However, it would be unfair to ban anybody without a proper reason. I think nobody would get banned like that. There must be some reason.
