Why do you think Anime is a big hit?

Cartoons and anime are forms of entertainment when we're still young. And I must admit now that I'm an adult, I still like to watch anime. What makes me think is that how come, even after so many years, people still enjoy watching anime?
What makes it a big hit for you?
For me, I find it as a stress reliever. I get to watch and not think of anything. I just laughed out loud with all the exaggerated scenes in it.

sometimes, animes have much more meaning and lessons in their stories compared to real movies... ^_^ I don't really regard watching animes or being fond of it means that you are being childish... ^_^

I agree. I work a stressful job and live a fairly stressful life. I am able to come home and pull of the computer and watch anime. I even have anime days occasionally on a day off. You can watch and not have to think about any crap going on with your life. I watch when I'm happy, sad, or otherwise emotionally detained. Anime and cartoons are just something great to do to break up the day.
