Who was your favorite pet?

Most of us had pets when we were growing up. Tell us about your favorite pet from when you were a kid. Mine was a big blue Doberman, named appropiately enough, Blue. He didn't realize that he was a big dog, he thought he was a little kid and that cats were put on Earth for him to take care of. He never hurt a cat, and actually helped my cat when she had kittens. Blue played part time Mommy to them.

I have had animals all my life. I had a 100 lb, doberman named sassy. She liked to smile and have her picture taken. We always had dogs and cats. Since I have been grown I have had fish, hamsters, lizards, many dogs and many cats. Also a Bird and a rabbit. The rabbits name was Fred and he thought he was a people.

Awesome. It's always cool when a pet is so well loved that they don't realize that they aren't human.

I was never allowed to have a pet as a child, and I always felt I was missing out on so much. I had a very lonely childhood, and a pet would have added so much to my life. The first pet I had in my lifetime was a little tabby cat I named Mickey Mouse. He was such a sweet, friendly little guy. It was nice to have him waiting for me when I got home. His whole little body would shake from excitement. I spent hours playing with him while my husband was at work. He was also a very smart cat. I remember one day I had given him something to eat in the kitchen. He wanted to eat out where the people were, so he brought his treat out and laid it neatly on the carpet. I called his name. He looked at me, and I told him, "Mickey, please take your food over on the tile instead of the carpet." Immediately he picked it up and moved it to the tile. My grandmother, who was visiting at the time, was amazed at what she was seeing. Unfortunately, we were living in married student housing at our university at the time. When the place opened they said it was okay to have pets that didn't disturb anyone. Then they changed the rules and said that anyone found to have a pet would be evicted immediately. A friend had brought us Mickey from his family farm, and we were forced to send him back. It about broke my heart, and I thought about him for a long, long time and have never forgotten my first little pet.

other than the cat I have now, my favorite pet would be Roxy. We had her when I was 5. She was a great dog, i don't remember what breed she was, but she was big and lived in a dog house. SHe used to sleep on it like snoopy. one day she got hit loose and chased the neighbors cat and got hit by a truck :(

Mine is the one little Fellow I have now He is so loving, funny and full of Personality, he also has to have the last word lol. When he is up to mischief you can tell it is all over his eyes I love this little Man I got him from a Kennel last year he was scared and had been badly mistreated. Now he is the best lol
