Anion Sanitary Napkin - your 3rd generation napkin?

I was just wondering because I came across a site about a sanitary napkin that has anions. It says it can heal vaginitis, UTI and other diseases. It can also maintain the healthy state of a woman's organs. Can you suggest sites or articles that proves positive effects of anions in the body? Are there anyone in the myLot population ever heard of this product? Is it really effective? Do you think its harmful to try this product?

the "negative ions" supposedly found in this napkin are supposed to kill all bacteria. if their claim is even true, then ALL the normal flora in your area down under (including the friendly germs that make your area free from pathogenic bacteria) will be killed. once you remove the napkin, under the presumption that their fishy claim is true, your "germ-free" genitals will now be prone to colonization of pathogenic (harmful) bacteria. so EVEN IF THEIR CLAIM WERE TRUE THAT THE NAPKIN ERADICATES BACTERIA, it will actually do more harm than good. the skin and mucosa NEED friendly bacteria to fight the harmful bacteria that is found everywhere.

Wow! That's kinda scary. So you mean to say that it's also the same with lotions and hand soaps with anti-bacterial gradient on it? __

Thanks for the information! I really appreciate it! Given some heresays about these products, it is very hard to look for proofs that these can really do you good. _

I go with medical sites or .edu sites not popular sites. This sounds like someone is trying to make a buck selling some snake oil...I am not going to rush out to buy them.

Thanks for the response and the advice! Yes, they are selling the product. That is why I'm asking around here for opinion regarding the product. It sounds too good to true though.

I have heard of many things that are good for one's body. One of these is the FIR or the far-infra-red device which I think works pretty much around the anion napkin, I think. I would not know how effective these are, not being a user myself. Cheers!!!

Thanks for sharing the information about FIR. ^_^ I think I'll research it a little later. It's ok if you don't know how effective it is. Mere sharing is enough. ^_^ I really appreciate the information. ^_^

There are many products in the market today that promise good results just like magic! not even backed up with scientific tests adn you should not be enticed with what they say.. the best is observe and research.. In so much that I would like to try it... Men do not use napkins! lol...
