I have one little thing that drives me nuts....it's nothing to worry about...nothing to really complain about but it drives me nuts! On Tuesdays when the garbage man comes to pick up my garbage...instead of just putting the garbage can back down....they throw it and it lays on it's side!! Now they get paid good money to pick up my trash. Why can't they just pick it up, empty it and put it back down..I don't understand it. So I am a bit phobic about having things in order...and this is nothing to get excited about! But do you have one little thing that irks you to no end?

Well Jill, as a matter of fact yes. My COMPUTER!!!!!!! It is preventing me from enjoying my friends on Mylot.I guess I now know what they mean when they talk about the problems with the Vista system. I keep trying to fix problems that I have no clue about. But if I had the money I would toss this little baby to someone who would take joy in trying to fix the unfixable. But it's all I got so if I disappear off of Mylot some day, don't blame anyone but this machine. Thanks for the release. leenie

oh yea, i totally know what you mean about the garbage thing...sometimes we find our bins thrown in the middle of the driveway so when we get home we can't even park our car until we put the bins away...very annoying! why can't you just put it back where you found it?! LOL it drives me crazy when people chew their food with their mouth open and you can hear their food being chewed...drives me nuts!

I can relate to this issue. Our trashcan is thrown on the ground and sometimes blows in the street on a windy day and just stays there until I go out to move it. If I'm not home, it stays in the street all day. I don't like it when the trashman puts it in the middle of the driveway and I have to get out of the car, move it and then put my car in the garage. I think what really annoys me is when someone insults my intelligence. For example, they lie to me and think I am too dumb to figure out the lie. This recently happened to me when a friend told me something and she didn't expect me to remember the initial discussion. Ok I may be aging but am not stupid. This drives me up a wall. I try to consider the source but it doesn't always work..lol

Just people that smack their food. That may be in a different context than your garabage man, but it annoys me to no end when people, adults mind you, chew with their mouths open and smack away. I used to hate garbage pick up days when I was a kid. They usually got to our house at 7am, and usually on that day we were still asleep.

Yes, I do and it can leave me fragmented. When my children come home they borrow my car and that's o.k. with me. However what is not o.k. is that they remove or put into bags all the stuff on the backseat of my car, and this drives me crazy as I work 2 jobs and when I get into the car the following day I cannot find my files and papers. Oh, they say, we put it in a trash bag and put it in your room. That is of no use to me. I NEED MY STUFF ON THE BACK SEAT OF MY CAR. THIS IS HOW I OPERATE SO please DO NOT REMOVE IT - OR IF YOU REMOVE IT THEN PUT IT BACK IN THE RIGHT PLACE IN MY CAR OIN ARRIVAL AT OUR HME. REALLY GETS TO ME.

Yes it does. The daughter is smaller i height and all the sons are 6'2" and over. and then they push back the back of the seat and I like it really firm on my back. I cannot recline and drive.

Personally for me, it is people that use and abuse the system. These are people that even might have Full time paying jobs, but are always the ones lying to Welfare so they can get benefits, cheating on their Taxes, and the ones going from agency to agency asking for help, and never trying to do anything for themselves. When in reality we have many people who have lost jobs, homes, Health Care, even though it was no fault of their own, and not able to get any help, this is Sad. I even know many single parents with kids who work unable to get benefits, and think they should get some before the Single people with jobs, or ones without kids scamming the system. Part of the reason the Economy is in this shape is because of these type of people, and it is time somehow they all need to be accountable for sure.

When people stare at me while I'm walking down the street or in a mall or something. Don't get me wrong, EVERYONE does it. But sometimes, when I'm going to the mall for lunch or something, all of the elders that do their mall walks sit in the food court and STARE at everything that crosses their eye. Yeah, sure, look at your surroundings but don't oggle it. It makes a person feel like there's something wrong with them or there's something on their face. !!

I can think of a few things..Here the weekly flyers are delivered on the weekend in a plastic bag. Instead of delivering them right to peoples doors, they are just thrown from the car window to land somewhere on the ends of peoples driveways. I think its not only unsightly but what about the elderly or disabled people. They should not have to walk down to the end of their driveway to pick up a bag of flyers off the dirty ground.

what really irks me is when our helper couldn't do her chores correctly like i always tell her to clean my room.. what i mean by cleaning is of course sweep the floor, arrange the bed etc but when i get to my room, still the same look like it wasn't clean at all! she already know what to do and yet she would still wait for me to tell her what to do. argh! there are times i had to do it myself instead of calling her coz she could lose my patience.

I do have one thing like that that bugs me. My husband puts his schedule book or a book on the top of my car before he gets in, if he has to pick something up in the yard. I was raised that you never lay anything on a car, and that just bugs the crap out of me. I've asked him not to do it and he says he won't. But then, months later, it will happen again. I think it just doesn't occur to him not to do it. He just uses the top or the hood of the car (or even the trunk top) as a table and boy, does it drive me nuts. I know what you mean about the garbage men throwing the cans over like that. That used to happen to us. It stopped whenever we bought one of those garbage bins with wheels that roll. They never did it again. I guess those are heavier and they can't throw them around. And now, the city furnishes heavy-duty rolling bins to everyone. They are the kind that "hook" onto a mechanism and they are mechanically dumped and placed back down on the driveway. So, there's no more can-tossing!

Actually that's what kind I do have...on wheels. I have to have it facing the alley so all they have to do is pick it up and hook it up to the truck....then they toss it back and it lays in my back yard....dang it p*sses me off!

yeah i have lived in a few places like that.. and my mail man seems to like to knock them over for the fun of it.. like people have their trash cans out and he will run over and knock them all over

The same thing happens here too. They will set mines right in front of my driveway. How do they expect me to enter or exit my driveway? I guess they don't care. My neighbor had to call city hall about them because they threw hers down so hard they broke the wheel on it. As I go up and down the street you see trash containers in all kind of positions. Now it is a certain way they want us to place them so it will be easy for them to empty. So why they can't place them back in an orderly way.

So I guess "anything annoying" doesn't count as a little thing? ; D People that have too much pride? Hearing someone brag about themselves gets irritating after a while for me. I don't run into this problem a lot, but I often hear people overly bragging about something they had / did / wear. People that are just plain annoying are a problem too, but some can't help it, others are just rude. So in general, anything rude?

My little pet peeve is what I call the empty box syndrome. This is when someone takes the last of something and doesn't throw the empty box away. I'm not even talking about replacing it, thy can't even just throw the dumb box away. Same with leaving a drop of milk in the container, or 1 little square of toilet paper....you get my drift, yes? What get's me the most about, "empty box syndrome" is that because the container is there, you think you're going to find what you want. But that is just a tease, and you will be disappointed.
