headphones because i can be totally immersed in my own world without botheing my family, i also have convos with my boyfriend i dont want the kids to hear

It depends. I generally prefer speakers cuz then I'm not tied down to anything and I can roam around. If I want to listen to something I don't want others to hear, I'll use headphones.

Don't you mean headphones? I would think that you'd have to keep speaker low while people where sleeping. :o)
Anyway, I prefer speakers, because headphones make my ears itch.

I love headphones because I love to listen to music on my own. I only love speakers when im listening to music in the car or at a party.

I use head phones while am working....if i am alone in the room..then i use speakers to enjoy the music with loud music.......

I prefer headphones because they dont disturb others....but when I cant sit in one place I think speakers are good...

I like both. Headphones because I can listen to music when things start getting to loud and speakers because you make the music as loud as you want to as long as it doesn't disturb anybody else.
