Getting Razzed For Fanning in Public....

Are you a lady in the summer of your life? You know, those flashes of heat that seem to hit during church service or during a sit-down dinner... Do you grab anything paper to help create a fan to fan the flames and cool yourself down? Been there, done that. But I have a husband who is embarrassed to be seen next to me while I'm fanning myself, especially in church. I've tried to conceal the fanning, and I try not to brind attention to myself, but face it, heat is heat. I wonder, would he'd rather see me drip beads off the brow? Do any of you ladies who deal with this issue ever get razzed for using paper fans in public?

I would lean over and wipe my forehead on his shirt sleeve! I think he would appreciate the fan after that!

Now you've got an idea. But I'm thinking that would draw a lot more attention, and I'm trying not to be so noticable fanning if I can help it.

Maybe you could sit in the back row. Then less people would notice and he would not be as embarrassed.

How'd you guess that that's where we sit? And my fans are just the church program folded in half...so that means it's maybe 5/5 inches in size. Not too big.

i pity my mom when she's going through those hot flashes , she's in her menopausal stage. no i don't feel embarrassed , it's just that she sometimes becomes difficult to deal with when she's going through those emotional rollercoasters.
