Good Short Hair Cuts for Those With Wavy Hair?

My hair is now nearly down to my waist and I need to cut it and donate it soon (I don't want to go swimming before donating my hair since that probably ruins it a bit). The problem with short hair cuts for me is that sometimes my hair goes into ringlets or little curls at the bottom. Which is not cute like it sounds.
I need to figure out some way to cut it so that it doesn't do that. Or figure out a style that won't make me look like I'm 50 that goes with waves.
Any suggestions? I can do just about anything with it since I cut it myself. When I go in it always gets messed up (which isn't entirely their fault, I really cannot describe what I want I can only envision it). If you have photos of cool looking styles that are office appropriate, please post them!

I have the same hair problem! The wavy ends, and it isnt fun! lol. Hard to work with. But there is one cut I always get that is really easy to get rid of that problem. I just hang my head upside down and blowdry it:P lol. then it gets straight, but with lots of body.
It's actually a haircut rachel has in the show Friends, if you know about that. I'll add a picture of it to repsponse...
it's the most popular haircut, and def. my favorite.

Oh nice! That looks pretty cool.
My hair can sometimes get way too much body. Does blow drying work for everyone to make hair straighter? I never knew it did that. Not that I've blow dried my hair many times.
I thought about buying a straightener too but my main problem right now is time. Although soon hopefully it won't be, once I finally graduate.

Well blow drying does help straighten my hair a bit, I don't know if it does it with everyone. But if you don't want too much body with this cut only blow dry upside down for a little while, and then finish right side up :D
If you decide to go with this cut let me know how it turns out! :D

I'll definitely post a photo of whatever I end up doing to my hair.
I think my hair might be too wavy for this one, but I still don't know what to pick. I'm trying to look back at old photos of myself for ideas on how bad my hair used to look. That way I can discover the problem spots and go from there. For example, the back either needs to be left to at least chin length, or buzzed up near my ears. Otherwise it just flips every which way.
