Please Tell me What is the best video encoding program to encode XVID

well my friend nowadays generally I do not read any movies or encoded them to xvid, so I don't think I can tell you the latest version of the software is. But when I used to do that my best programme was definitely virtual dub. It is a freeware version software which you can download from their own website. You can just install the codec and it will give you the option to compress it on that particular codec. And when I use this compression tool with excellent it gives me great results. I don't know if there are any better software is which are available in the market right now but the only problem with this particular software was that it used to take a huge amount of time. I know encoding is somewhat time taking rosters but maybe now there are faster software is available in the market.
