I have very bad allergies and they have gotten worse lately. I am more prone to getting sick quickly and being effected by several different things. Years ago I was prescribed Zyrtec D, now it is available OTC and lately it has not been as effective as it was in the past. I am so tired of having to take medications for this sort of thing. Someone told me that I should try a Netti Pot. The person that suggested this had severe allergies that would often lead to sinus infections. They are crazy over the Netti Pot and highly recommended it to me. I am very interested but I wanted to see if anyone else had ever tried it and if you had good results from it. For anyone who does not know what a Netti Pot is here is a link: http://www.sattvahealing.com/netti-pot.shtml

My mom has always had lots of sinus problems, that is until I bought her a netti pot. Now she swears by it, she loves it. I would recommend that you get one if you have cronic sinus problems. Good luck.

I don't have allergies but do have COPD. Believe it or not, a Netti Pot is handy to have when I am away from home. It actually helps me too. My mom always said to put Vicks in hot water, drape a towel over your head and the container of Vicks. Inhale and you will feel better. I know it works for colds but she said it is also good for allergies.
