Before, I believed that for a relationship to work, one should not keep secrets from the partner. But as I go along, I think I learned that there are some things one should and could share with your partner but there are also some things that are better left unsaid especially if you know it's not going to be something your partner might take in. It's all very easy for them to say that they accept it but what you don't know is that you have already hurt them and perhaps change how they look at you. So I think lying can be a good thing sometimes if your reason is to save your partner from unnecessary hurt and from disillusionment... =)

I feel lying is not a good thing specially with the person you love, small act can bring break in the faith and once faith goes from any relationship then it becomes a sour relationship. So honesty is the best policy.

Of course it is. Lying is a part of life. But there are limits to everything. You ask whether lying to your BELOVED is good or not... Well here are the limitations, the word BELOVED says it all. You can (I feel) lie to her as long as you are not cheating her or hurting her emotions IN ANY WAY. I personally have to lie to her many a times just to surprise her. If a lie is avoiding a huge quarrel and if the whole topic ends then and there because of your lie and further complications are avoided, then it might prove very advantageous to lie. But always remember, NEVER CHEAT AND NEVER HURT EMOTIONS....
