Hello So i personally have 10's of thousands of pictures on my computer. Since i got my first digital camera I constantly take pictures. I hardly ever delete any pictures becuase why bother unless it is totally pointless....i mean it dosnt cost any money to not delete a picture. But after years of adding more and more pictures to my collection...i started to realize how much I really missed having a photo album of pictures to look through. So I had mentioned it to my hubby...I told him what I wanted for my birthday was to pick som of my favorite pictures out of the 1000's I had and have them printed off and put into an album. So i made a folder, which ended with 600 pictures, it cost 100 dollars. But I now have 2 buetifal albums each with 300 of my favorite pictures...mostly of my son. This is one of my fav gifts I have ever recieved. I will be doing it again soon hopefully, there are so many more pictures I want printed. And so many empty picture spots in my albums too becuase my son keeps taking the 1 by 1 for school projects lol. Oh well at least I have them so he can use them! SO do you ever print off your digital photographs? Do you prefer them in albums or on the computer? How many digital pirctures do you have as opposed to printed photo's/

I probably have over 100,000 photos on my computer and my l5 extra hard drives. I print a few photos myself but mostly send them out to be processed. My wife and in laws do scrape booking so I have a lot of photos printed for them. I also sell my photos which requires that I have them professionally printed. A few years back I was printing a large batch of photos and was shocked to see that I could get around 35 8x10 high quality photos out of a set of ink cartridges. Adding that to the cost of the paper I figured that it cost me right around $2.00 per sheet to print photos. I could have an 8x10 printed with finger print and UV protection applied for the same price and on a heaver weight paper. My price did not include the price of my printer which was $300.00. To print a 4x6 (standard size photo) would cost me about $0.70 per photo and I can get them printed professional quality for $0.29 each. I do agree that having an Album to view is very nice and I will continue to keep peace in the family by having photos printed for them to use. I am looking at these digital photo frames to display my photos.

It depends. I mostly share my photos online, so I don't print that many. I bought a digital camera that came with a free photo printer awhile back. The printer prints 4x6 inch photos. I figured I should put it to use, so I bought a small 4x6 album and printed out a bunch of my digital photos for it. I keep it in my purse so if I'm ever out somewhere and I get talking to someone about photography, and they want to see some of my work- I can show them small album! Other than that, I only print photos that I plan on framing and hanging on my walls. Or printing out photos to frame to enter in photo competitions. But other than that, I keep my photos on my computer!

scrapbook page - one of my dog's pages
I have pictures on my computer, on flash drives, and yes I do print my own pictures. When my ex b/f gave me my DSLR camera and lens for Christmas '08, he also gave me a high def printer. I scrapbook, so I love being able to print off my own pictures for scrapbooking. I like preserving memories in scrapbook layouts rather than just photo albums.

all my digital photos are saved in a pocket hard disk. i might choose a few photos to get printed and i am also planning to buy a picture viewer and have it in my living room so that whenever we have visitors they could watch the pictures just like a slideshow.

I never print out my digital pictures.... because i use a real camera! I know it would be way more economical to get a digital but i cant bring myself to let go of my real cameras. I just know them so well, and if i get a digital i would have to let go of my fisheye lens, all my color flashes, the beautiful vignetting my Holga gives me, PLUS all of the the ways i have learned to manipulate film. I could probably achieve most of the effects my cheating with photo editing programs, but where is the joy in that?
