The Farmer's Got Me (hic) Drunk..............

Well the party's over, but the band is still playing in my head, so no yelling ok? Thanks. We got the truck out of the hole, got the hole filled in, and everyone was accounted for when it was all over..........Spunky made sure of that! The party hats were a big hit and so was the hot chocolate, baked goods and of course the coffee. The BRANDY however, was the hit of the day. Here's why: Every time someone cracked a joke at my expense, I had to down in one gulp a shot of brandy. The farmers insisted. It was their 'payment' for the use of their chains and tractors. Frankly, it was just an excuse to see me drunk! You need to understand that the ladies and gents (BIG HIC!) in my little town could drink Paul Bunyon under the table in 3 seconds flat. I however am a lady! I know when to quit..............(Double Hic!) So my fellow citizens have never seen me drunk. Until today. I may be small, I may even be shrinking, but in the right mood, I can hold more boooze than the local Beer Store. So for the first hour, I hardly weaved or stumbled or bumbled at all. Halfway into the second hour Spunky glued herself to my side, I'm sure because she could sense my rapidly disappearing equilibrium. When I tried to sneak cups of coffee, some wag spiked my mug........ Shortly into the third hour and one empty brandy bottle later, I finally fell over. Spunky draped herself over me and the farmers took pity on me, and carried me into my house and tucked me onto my couch. I just woke up awhile ago, and all I can say is thank heavens for spell check..........Anybody got a hangover cure? PLEASE!!!!!!!!
