Have You Ever Applied for a Fellowship?

I've applied for three so far this year. I haven't heard from any. The Room of One's Own Foundation (a grant for woman writers) will inform me on the 31st of March. I don't aspect to win that one. I will have better luck (I think) with the fellowship from the Five College Women Studies Research Center (my project purposal for them combines health education and poetry). Also the Vermont Studio Center Fellowship (which is a residency program; and the fellowship I'm applying for is only for those in wheelchairs. I'm sure, sadly, that not many people for that). So, my fellow Mylot writers, have ever applied for a fellowship? Did you get it? Who sponsored it?
