At the "ripe old ages" of six, four, and almost three (I spelled out their ages in case using the numbers was causing my inability to post) by the time the baby arrives. Their oldest brother's now ex-girlfriend is 8 weeks pregnant and has decided to have the baby, which is why she is now the "ex-girlfriend", he does not feel he is ready to be a father and did not want her to continue the pregnancy. They are young and currently unemployed so I see his point to a degree but they had 7 months to get their lives straightened out before the baby will be born, plus tons of family support, not that any family members are jumping for joy but it's not the baby's fault his/her parents were irresponsible so the baby would have been provided for regardless. And even so adoption could have been an option if they really felt they could not raise a child yet. So that's the short version of what I've been wanting to post. I've been having trouble starting discussions all night and don't feel like losing another long one. Share your stories about people being close in age but in different generations on the family tree. Or your experience with teen pregnancies or unplanned pregnancies or even anything related to parents splitting up because of a pregnancy or even anything else you'd like to throw in the mix!

Hey foxy! Ok now! So the little ones are going to be uncles! How nice! Since they are kind of young to even understand this I'm quite sure they don't have any comments to make, or do they? I guess this didn't come as a real big surprise to you and the rest of the family? They have been headed in the wrong direction for awhile now. I don't have any personal experience on this except to know that it can't be a good thing for all involved. As always I feel badly for the poor child who will be born into this mess! I do hope that by the time the baby is born that something will be straightened out. I don't understand why the girls do this knowing that the father doesn't want to accept the responsibility and think that they will be able to "handle" it on their own!

No, the boys don't know yet...and it will be a long while before they do get told! Their dad doesn't even "officially" know he's going to be a grandpa (meaning I was supposed to hide it from him but told him anyway). She has been saying for a long time that she wanted a baby and he has been saying absolutely not so it really wasn't a surprise it ended this way. Both are to blame...her for trying to get pregnant despite his feelings, and him for being with her carelessly even though he knew her plans. I think she was just so sure that he would magically change his mind "if" it happened and is now getting a hard lesson in life.

A year later she found a new boyfriend, she had another child and moved away. I didn't see my grandchild for 5 years. The family came back only now she had 4 kids, she finally married the boyfriend last year and my son is still home with me.

I have and Aunt who is the same age and an uncle who is younger than my older sister. My grandparents were still having kids when my parents had my sister. My sister and my aunt were in the same classes at school. It was a little strange for hem I am sure.
