One movie is called The Sound of Music and I went on an enjoyable tour around Salzburg in Austria to see all the film locations. When I went to Krakow in Poland I saw some of the film locations from the movie Schindler's List. I am fascinated by history and think as long as the filming crew show the area respect it is fine to shoot a movie in a historical place. Care should be taken not to damage the buildings or landscape. In the movie The Beach set in Thailand the landscape was altered a bit I had heard.

Hi Its a good move according to me,by shhoting in historican places it will definitely spoil the beauty and the respect for such places .But these days with advanced technologies and digital help ,they can create artificial places of Historical importance and work in a better without spoiling the rare historical places. But there are also some who say that this will reduce the tourist attraction ,but i quite dont agree with them,it will infact bbring in more when the experience the real beauty in nature these Historical places have . Cheers
