what should you use "1.5 liters or 1.d liter?

..what should I use?..is it singular form or plural form?

I believe it depends how you intend to use it. For example, - I purchased a 1.5 liter bottle of soda. OR - This bottle contains 1.5 liters of soda. I may be wrong but this is how I would do it :) :)

This is a 1.5 liter Bottle... This bottle Holds 1.5 liters of water. It depends on the context..the Single Unit of volume is the Liter.

I learned in school that anything more than 1 is already plural. An additional .5 makes it plural. But i guess the "liter" is separated from 1.5 in a sense that "liter" is just for the purpose of labelling the measurement.
