Do you do anything to be more competitive later and build a stronger CV during your studies? Apart from taking care of your grades?

To many prospective employers involvement in co-curricular activities is important. It shows that the person can balance his work priorities. As for teamwork it depends on the type of activity. In my country there are companies which look for active involvement in sports. MayBank for example prefers hockey. BSN (another bank) prefers takraw. I am sure the same situation occurs in your country. Ideally you should have other interests or hobbies like reading and painting. Reading indicates your willingness to find more new info instead of relying on the past. all the best, rosdimy

Of course, I do. I always emphasize to myself that the important thing to participate on something should be the quality not the quantity. I joined a mathematics team in my secondary and high school and won the fourth places. I also joined several clubs like language clubs, scout, and redcross-humanitarian network.

I joined the county jazz band and orchchestra, played for a few sports teams, did loads of voulenteer work in old peoples homes, hospitals, charity shops, picked up a part time job in an accountancy office. Basically anything which would give me either good experiences or broaden my personality.

Cv's are a critical part of improving your prospects of getting a good job. This is just a guess but I think what good cv's have is that paint a descriptive picture of it's owner. All companies want people who can work well in teams so as has already been mentioned sports participation looks good on cv's. This highlights your ability to work and communicate as part of a team, communicate well with others and generally being sociable. Education is good one so the more courses you go on and qualifications you gain the more likely you are to grab the readers attention. Hopefully the desired result is that you appear to be someone who's got a drive to succed and therefore very employable.
