i would like to know how many of you watch nascar and if you do are you a nascar fan or do you just watch hoping for a wreck that someone can walk away from of course i personally like nascar and i kind of like the wrecks too because of all the drivers going so fast they are kind of inevitable

I will watch nascr if someone has it on, but I don't turn it on to watch it. I have been to the INDY 500 many years ago and it is a lot different being there as to watch it on TV.

I have been to the Indy track and that is one race is that much easier to see everything is on Television....you cannot see much on the stands or walking around to see... I would love to go Dover, Pocono, and Talledega....Daytona would be nice for the week but I am sure it is getting overcrowded and too much...

Ok, what is the deal with watching some cars go round and round and round and round in a circle? I was a fan of Speedracer as a kid and would sit and pretend to race and shift and make the noises and all that. My dad had one of those slot car racing sets where you put the track together and race two cars which I loved but after a while I guess I grew out of it. It's not just the danger -- speed kilss, I guess it's the repition. A friend is into rc racing and I went along to the track one day. It was ok but then a race could last like half an hour! A day of that was a bit much for me. Watching the grown up version on tv is kind of like baseball. It's one thing when you're in the stadium and another on tv (like college football). I guess I just don't get it.

definitely would be a different expierence live then on tv and the races do seem to take a long time but i guess you either like it or you dont its probably the excitement the crashes that most people enjoy but to see that up close would be out of this world i would think just the noise level would be intense honestly the race tonight put me to sleep not to exciting at all hope next week is better

We're big nascar fans but not everyone in the family agrees on who to root for. My husband and I like the 3 big J's....Jeff Gordon, Jimmie Johnson and Jr. We were thrilled when he left DEI and joined the team! I have to admit that the wrecks can be pretty exciting but my favorite part of any race is watching two (or three) equally great cars trying to get past the front runner. That's real racing!

I am glad Jr. left DEI even though his father founded the company and was hoping one day he would run it also. I am glad he went with Gordon whom his father "trained" as you would say. The last lap with the two cars neck n neck where it has to be a picture shot to see who won are also neat and wild!!!

yeah i love races that come down to the end when someone is trying to hunt someone down in the final lap or two for the win but sometimes the drama gets ruined by someone in the back getting in a wreck just as it was about to get good i also think jr badly needed to get away from his stepmom as they clearly didnt get along i know that must have been excruciating for him but nothing better then a race to the finish when you dont know who it will be always like those photo finishes where its hard to tell who won good thing they have all that technology to tell us who won know so you dont have to wonder hope the races this year get better hasnt been too much drama yet this year

My husband is a Nascar fan. He loves it for the sport that it is as well as a good wreck every now and then. We have gone to several Nascar races in the Poconos. The first race I went to was really exciting, but then afterwards, they have become boring to me. I actually fell asleep once while at the races. My husband gets really excited when we go to a race. I like the tailgating before and after the races.
