How ol' DOW JONES voted!

Yes, it is true. One could consider ol'DOW JONES to be a person. One could consider that even though he does not literally speak, we might infer from his reactions how he would have voted in the last Presidential election. Here is a chart of ol' DOW JONES over laid a time line of 0bama's campaign. See attached chart by clicking on it to enlarge. I say that if ol' DOW JONES would not have voted for 0bama, why should I have any confidence in 0bama, either? What do you say?

I had no confidence in him without seeing the chart. Having said that... your point is well taken. Since it is business which drives our economy, and not the government interference in it.... it is plain to see that business has no confidence in the 0bamunist at all. That chart does tell the story quite well.

Yep, chart's don't lie, but sometimes are misunderstood. In this case, it is the SP-500 instead of the Dow Jones. I goofed because the 2 charts actually look pretty much the same and I study the markets enough to recognize the DJIA chart pattern.

The dow has chaned it's opinion just yesterday. And frankly if you look at all the bad banking practices that were going on during the Bush administration. It just happened to come to a head about the time Obama took office. That has nothing to do with events, it's bad policies and people biting off more than they can chew, lack of affordable college education, our deficit with exports to Asia... There are so many reasons not just a finger pointing at one person. Sounds like my local politicians who think if they fix the schools, graduation rates will go up. Why would they go up in the inner city when these kids only have job potential @ McD's or on the street to look forward to?? There are no more apprenticeships for highschool grads that pay more than minimum wage & if they are they won't keep them after their apprecticeship from school. We need good jobs that pay living wages for everyone!

The Dow Jones is how those with skin in the game, as Barack put it, vote on the economy, but let us not get ahead of ourselves Biden has already told us that policies will not be dictated to by the markets. Of course by the time them two get done with the economy there will not be any market to speak of.

Biden's remark about ignoring markets as to policy considerations is particularily stupid. The markets are an unbiased indicator of some the world's smartest people opinions as to the future of the USA. Sure, it makes a lot of sense to ignore that.

The problem today is politicians have no practical experience. I remember reading a column by a life long Democrat who just could not vote for President Clinton and put much thought into why. He finally figured out that for most of his adult life Clinton never had to "kick the tires on a used Chevy". He lived in apartments (or government provided housing) and in many cases had a car and driver provided. Most government officials live in a protected world, when the economy turns bad they raise taxes and keep their job. They see these "rich" brokers and CEO's and think that all they do is sit back and collect their pay. These people are the ones that make this country work and produce. They rise and fall based on how well the little guy does. The people better wake up and listen to DOW JONES before all they have left is the government handouts. The DOW JONES is not talking to us it is SCREEMING at us to wake up and change. The DOW JONES is an indicator of the future.

I certainly agree concerning politicians who have spend their entire life living off the government having no idea that businessmen do not easily make money. Nor do I think many of these same politicians could ever run a business profitably. Yes, the DOW JONES is screaming at us to wake up.

You are right. Dow does not have a voice that is audible, but I can certainly see with my eyes that Dow has an opinion which indicates he has no confidence in Obama. That confidence level is going down, further down and further down. And I agree him.

I wish Dow Jones would change his opinion, but it is not about to happen anytime soon.
