ok here is the thing i have two older desktop computers and they can get internet and things like that, but i just don't use them anymore and i was thinking about taking them apart and seeing what was good and what wasn't and i was just wondering if there is anything insdie the computer was worth taking out and trying to sell maybe on ebay, but i would sell the whole thing because they work fine, i just got a new one...so i was just wondering if anyone could help me...i would like to take this time to thank everyone for taking the time out of your day to come by and read and review my discussion and hopefully answering, and trying to help me, and i hope that you all have a great day and night tonight, thanks again for taking the time to stop by.

The whole thing! You can hook up the power and leave the IDE or SATA unplugged, and use it as a cup holder!

desktop computer - One's trash can be someone else's treasure.
Hello jhl. I think that it is a good idea to sell it to someone who needs it so that the desktop computers don't have to be taken apart. I like the saying that one's trash can be someone else's treasure. Good luck to you, friend.

It is always worth salvaging parts from other computers you never know who might need them. As you said you could always sell them on ebay and computer parts always sell well. I think you would make more selling the individual parts rather then the computer as a whole. When someone buys an older computer they look at the overall spec. Where with a part you have a chance of a better price. Another thing to think about is, lets say one day your graphics card fried. It would always be handy to have that spare on hand to get you up and running until you had the time to get a new one.
