I have a small group of ladies that meet at my house once a month and we all do crafts! Last month when I went to a quilt show with my mom, I met a lady that had a punch embroidery booth. Her stuff was so beautiful! I hope to get her to come over to our March meeting so we can see her demo on punch embroidery. :-) It's always fun to see something new. :-) Take care, Pinka http://pinkap.etsy.com http://pinkap.blogspot.com

I wish there was something like that here. I love to do crafts and would love to meet people with the same interests. I am new to where I live and don't have any friends so far and that would be a great way to meet new people. I haven't ever seen punch embroidery. I bet that is very interesting.

I'm sure there are plenty of sites that have pictures of punch embroidery. Try doing a search... I just did and came up with a ton! :-) :-) The lady that I met at the quilt show does not really a have a gallery in her site so no pics there. It is really cool to look at and the texture is probably my favorite. :-) Pinka

I am a big crafter and I didn't know that March was crafts month. Hmmmm, ok I tried knitting earlier this year and I prefer crochet. Maybe I'll try it again. Or maybe I'll haul out by beads and learn something new with them. I did get some new beading books. But I will have to bring something out that I haven't used or done in awhile. Unemployment hasn't kicked in yet, and if I start another type of craft, craft room, hubby, or bank account may explode. But I always like re aquanting myself with something I haven't picked up in awhile. Its to bad that us crafters can't somehow combine, and have a pattern swap. I have often thought of that since there are so many of us here on mylot. But I don't know how we would go about it.

Maybe one of us could set up some kind of website for that or find one where that can be done. It would be nice to trade patterns we have already used to someone else for something new. Maybe I will strive to finish some started projects. That would be a good goal.
