Finally I started my own business

Finally, this moment is here. Although I know that it takes months to get your first client, I'm getting a little worried here. I have been trying for the past two weeks, e-mails, posting, my website, sending envelopes with brochures but I have nothing so far. I have read sticles and books on how to do your own advertising, but I wish that I would have at least one. I'm doing bookkeeping services for small businesses.
Do you guys have any ideas, on which marketing works best. Thanks to who ever wants to share.

I agree, postcards are the way to go. as a personal trainer i often have to recruit my own clients. postcards giving them $10 off their first sessions generally has a draw for me. give that a try, good lick!
