Pay before you pee...

I seriously resent people who make money out of supposedly public bathrooms. Especially the ones that have crappy maintenance, lack of tissue paper, lack of water, missing cubicle locks and gross, wet floors. Here in the Philippines even comfort rooms in bus stations/terminals have fees to use the comfort room. And they're never cheap! It costs P5.00 to take a pee (and sometimes they'd charge you extra if you were there to do number 2, you pay after so they know how much you have to pay). P5.00 is 1/50 of the daily minimum wage. Ridiculous! If government officials would just stop pocketing our tax money and the foreign aide allowance our country gets, we wouldn't have to worry about something supposedly as trivial as this!

Wow, that sucks. I've never had to pay for a restroom either. Sometimes you have to ask for a key or a token though.

Here most of the public bathrooms we have to pay a small amount of money if we want to use it. Some of them are very clean while some of them are not very clean. I also wish that they clean the public bathrooms very well. Well here the amount for using the public bathrooms are not very high it is around Rs 1 to Rs 5.

Yes I agree to you. One time when my mom go to Cultural Center of the Phils. together with my dad they are looking for a restroom and it costs I think 5 or 10 pesos each time you pee. My parents went there at CCP to get some fresh air and to jog early in the morning, but mom has this usual peeing so instead of going back there, they did not return there anymore because of the fee for the restroom. Yes, there are malls in the Phils. that you have to pay but the cleanliness of the restroom is very good and it's worth paying for.
