Telling Your Business on MyLot

i agree that people should limit what they share here in mylot when it comes to personal stuff that should be left unsaid. but its their life and they want to share it, so i feel i don't have the right to tell them to shut up hehe, but personally i also try not to disclose too much personal stuff here

Sites like mylot are the perfect place to air out your dirty laundry and get some honest opinions. Nobody knows who you are, they don't know your family, so the opinions are bound to be more unbiased than ones you would get from real life friends

who cares for the most part i mean if you dont want to see it just dont look at it and also just because you dont do it does it make it so everyone cant do it just because you dont?

The internet is great for keeping your real identity hidden. You could be responding to someone who lives down the road from you and you would never know! Discussions like those that you are referring to I don't see a problem with. No one knows that persons identity and sometimes it helps to get an outside opinion on things. It's almost like free therapy! I know I often find it hard being completely honest about things with those that are close to me for fear of hurting their feelings or just plain not wanting people to know my business. But on here I can talk freely without fear of being judged or of people knowing my situations. I can get an honest and objective viewpoint and from all different perspectives.

well i guess they figure no one knows them on here off the net. so if they are asking what you think about the situation it's from someone who not in the middle of it and it;s going to be an honet advise or option that why. like i will ask what others think on some of things i deal with because i don't know anyone personally on here excetp one person and i know they won't tell anyone
